Zé Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Zonta in the 33rd minute of the match. Fausto Mota struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Denílson Passos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibicaba. 40 minutes into the game, Vágner de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacauzinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibicaba the free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the game, Sebastião Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacauzinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibicaba the free kick. With a little luck, Cacauzinho's Denílson Passos got control of the ball when Lauro Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flávio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibicaba's Fausto Mota was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 75th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Diguinho Travassos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner de Almeida in the 79th minute of play forced Ibicaba's goalkeeper Zé Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denílson Passos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Diguinho Travassos. Flávio Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zé Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denílson Passos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Ramos in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Lauro Ramos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cacauzinho's Denílson Passos. Denílson Passos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
