He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GERA FC reached it. With his leg Fernandão Goiano managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when GERA FC's Kauã Souza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fernandão Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Marquez in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind GERA FC's goalkeeper Orlando Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Tales Neves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of GERA FC's Orlando Fantini. Orlando Fantini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tales Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernandão Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Marquez in the 19th minute of the match. Olívio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Goiano having to interfere. Fernandão Goiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcelo Marquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Marquez in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandão Goiano saved Cervejeiro Futebol Clube from getting behind. Hudson Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Orlando Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pedro Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's zone, Marcelo Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Palmeira went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcelo Marquez had several of the Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Fernandão Goiano as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Marquez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Zanette in the 57th minute of play forced GERA FC's goalkeeper Orlando Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Fernandão Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Renato Seco's late challenge caught a GERA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Seco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Cervejeiro Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Seco to maneuver through the defense. Fernandão Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The GERA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 83rd minute, Marcelo Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernandão Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The audience was convinced that Hudson Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Fantini was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, GERA FC's Almir Falcão got a free kick in the 91st minute. 93 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's Hudson Zanette fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Leopoldo Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leopoldo Almeida hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Geovanni Lima hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After 100 minutes Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Palmeira who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's goalie and right to Alberto Fernandez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cervejeiro Futebol Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cervejeiro Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GERA FC.
