In the 7thth minute of the game Dario Bodelon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibicaba's Zé Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino de Mendonça having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Kasesky EC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Vidal. Gino de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Mota in the 11th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Cássio Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Júlio Teixeira put in a rough tackle. Cássio Recife received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Neiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Cássio Recife slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 30th minute. Dario Bodelon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ibicaba's Olívio Mineiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 48th minute, Kasesky EC's Dario Bodelon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Lauro Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibicaba's Tony da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicaba's zone, Cássio Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Neiva came out of the goal and Cássio Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Cássio Recife sped through Ibicaba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Neiva. Dario Bodelon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Neiva having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Recife in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Neiva saved Ibicaba from getting behind. After having played for 82 minutes, Tony da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauro Ramos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gino de Mendonça firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Ibicaba defense, Cássio Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Neiva. The Ibicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Neiva should have stopped the shot. Zé Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Bodelon went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicaba's zone, Cássio Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Neiva came out of the goal and Cássio Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kasesky EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
