In the 11th minute, Zé Pedro Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Mazza during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atalho SS booed when Centauros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Paulinho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Diamantino Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Centauros getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Edson Barros hit a great ball. The referee gave Atalho SS a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zé Pedro Senna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Centauros's Miguel Barbosa. 0-1. Zé Pedro Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Barbosa having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Paulinho Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Miguel Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the game, Diamantino Mazza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Naldo Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

53 minutes into the match, Centauros's goalkeeper Miguel Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Pedro Senna. Manoel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Miguel Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Senna struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Miguel Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalho SS. When Paulinho Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Atalho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Aguiar couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Centauros's Miguel Barbosa got control of the ball when Zé Pedro Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Barbosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulinho Aguiar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. Miguel Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Pedro Senna went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When Paulinho Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Atalho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Atalho SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
