The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Conrado Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Bezerra. Varzeado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Dinei Berger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varzeado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campinense F Clube the free kick. 13 minutes into the match, Conrado Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Bezerra. Dinei Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Claudinho Seco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieguinho de Queirós in the 20th minute of play forced Varzeado's goalkeeper Emanuel Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Seco having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Severino Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varzeado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campinense F Clube the free kick. 27 minutes into the match, Conrado Reis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Varzeado's Emanuel Bezerra. Emanuel Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Bezerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dieguinho de Queirós went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Emanuel Bezerra came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Campinense F Clube's Dieguinho de Queirós. But to his dismay, Dieguinho de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 46th minute, Hamílton Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Campinense F Clube were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Conrado Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campinense F Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 56 played minutes Varzeado got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Berger. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Conrado Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinense F Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Bezerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho de Queirós in the 64th minute. Emanuel Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Reis in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Conrado Reis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emanuel Bezerra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Hamílton Lira fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campinense F Clube's protests and gave Hamílton Lira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Dieguinho de Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Bezerra. Varzeado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dieguinho de Queirós got free with Emanuel Bezerra in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 played minutes Varzeado got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Reis. Edgar Alves hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dieguinho de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Campinense F Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
