Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Juninho Machado got the match started through his kick off. Patrick França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Carlos Sanches was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Juninho Machado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juninho Machado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Reinaldo Cunha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Antônio Carlos Sanches 16 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Patrick França made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarbas da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Reinaldo Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antônio Carlos Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 30th minute Juninho Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Reinaldo Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Fama SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Cunha couldn't finish the play. Reinaldo Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Carlos Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaldo Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Reinaldo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Sanches having to interfere. Arí Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jarbas da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Antônio Carlos Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Machado in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Arnaldo Mesquita hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Paulo José Batista sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Antônio Carlos Sanches didn't even have to move. Reinaldo Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Antônio Carlos Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick França to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Natã Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fama SC and the SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fama SC's Natã Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 53rd minute. During the 55th minute of the match Natã Breckenfeld completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Natã Breckenfeld a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Fama SC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Natã Breckenfeld hit a great ball. SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Falcão Macedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fama SC. Reinaldo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Sanches having to interfere. Juninho Machado struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Antônio Carlos Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fama SC. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos Sanches was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Arí Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jarbas da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarbas da Costa came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Arí Peres. But to his dismay, Arí Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Reinaldo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Sanches having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Pinheiro in the 89th minute of play forced SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Reinaldo Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Fama SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Cunha couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Machado came free, but Antônio Carlos Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arí Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas da Costa having to make a save. When Juninho Machado came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Fama SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Machado couldn't finish the play. Fama SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
