Benedito Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedito Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Kauan Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to U. S. Soccer getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Amauri Guimarães hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, U. S. Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Sá came free, but Benedito Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 41st minute when Kauan Gonçalves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kauan Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Neto having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Rubinho Sá made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Váldson Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. S. Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardinho Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Peixoto having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Porradinha Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Esteves came free, but Cristóvão Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, U. S. Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Quintal to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Rubinho Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, U. S. Soccer's Benedito Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save U. S. Soccer from getting a goal against them. When Kauan Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Porradinha Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauan Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Esteves in the 93rd minute of play forced Porradinha Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cristóvão Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porradinha Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
