The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Luz made a kick off. Osvaldo Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Sampaio in the 55th minute of the match. Celso Luz took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wágner Aguiar. Wágner Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Wágner Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. todos a venda-Itamoji SS's Cristóvão Monteiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Formigas SC. Wágner Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Paraibano in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Formigas SC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Claudinho Moura hit a great ball. Celso Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
