Gequi's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guga Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Válter Leal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guga Seco came out and tried to block the shot, but Válter Leal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Josué Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Magno Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SE TICO MIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Magno Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. Gequi's Josué Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Gequi from getting a goal against them. Guga Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Leal in the 54th minute of the match. In the last second Josué Marquez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Magno Mangueira in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Josué Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Mangueira in the 57th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Velloso couldn't finish the play. Murillo de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Josué Marquez made a huge save. A collision led to Gequi getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. João Carlos da Silva hit a great ball. When Murillo de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SE TICO MIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo de Lima couldn't finish the play. Murillo de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mané Paraibano charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mané Paraibano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SE TICO MIA's Guga Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Leal in the 88th minute of play. Josué Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Cunha in the 91st minute. Válter Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guga Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Célio Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Guga Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SE TICO MIA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gequi.
