Venesa SS's Wilton Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Borges in the 15th minute of play. Zé Valle's late challenge caught a Venesa SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Valle helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wilton Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Borges in the 90th minute of play. Wilton Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio das Neves's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Antônio das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C.Vitoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. E.C.Vitoria had played much better football throughout.
