The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Soviético FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.E. Los Bigodes:s goal. Benjamin Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 64th minute Válbson Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soviético FC's Ronaldinho Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Toscano in the 70th minute of play. Ronaldinho Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Marquinhos Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Los Bigodes's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquinhos Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Toscano in the 78th minute of play forced Soviético FC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Benjamin Toscano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ronaldinho Guedes, 0-3. When the final whistle sounded S.E. Los Bigodes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Soviético FC.
