Marcos Dionísio started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Verdão Paranaense F. C. booed when S&V FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Dionísio in the 6th minute of play forced S&V FC's goalkeeper Armando das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaká Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. The supporters of Verdão Paranaense F. In the 13th minute, Armando Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Verdão Paranaense F. C. defense, Armando Faria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Vides. The Verdão Paranaense F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Vides should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, S&V FC's Vladimir Linares got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, S&V FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Mandrak came free, but Armando das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, S&V FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Marcos Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 30 minutes into the match, Armando Pinheiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Kaká Vides. Kaká Vides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 33 minutes of play Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Miguel Mandrak was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 34th minute, Miguel Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S&V FC. In the 46th minute, Armando Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half S&V FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vladimir Linares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S&V FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 56 played minutes Verdão Paranaense F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Washington de Amaral. If Armando Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Armando das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verdão Paranaense F. C.. Marcos Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Verdão Paranaense F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Quadros to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Pinheiro got free with Kaká Vides in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Marcos Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Vides having to interfere. In the 85th minute of the match Nico de Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaká Vides showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute, Armando Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S&V FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ernesto Koehler hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Samuca Sá's late challenge caught a S&V FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Sá helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Verdão Paranaense F. C.'s Samuca Sá got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S&V FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
