Albertinho Félix started the match with the kick off. When Albertinho Félix fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pantanal FC's protests and gave Albertinho Félix a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pantanal FC's zone, Dinei Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani do Vale came out of the goal and Dinei Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giovani do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Pinheiro in the 7th minute of play. Giovani do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 19th minute, Armando Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pantanal FC's Giovani do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Pinheiro in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Pantanal FC booed when S&V FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match, Albertinho Félix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armando das Neves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Pinheiro in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovani do Vale saved Pantanal FC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, S&V FC's Armando Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35th play minutes Vladimir Linares shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Giovani do Vale and just under the crossbar into goal. Pantanal FC's Giovani do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Pinheiro in the 38th minute of play. The long shot by Jano Moura in the 41st minute really tested Armando das Neves's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cristiano Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Cristiano Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S&V FC's protests and gave Cristiano Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, S&V FC's Cristiano Guimarães got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Pinheiro was the one to do the kick off. Armando Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Giovani do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to S&V FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cristiano Guimarães hit a great ball. Luís Gustavo Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, one of S&V FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S&V FC. Albertinho Félix got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Luís Gustavo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Gustavo Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Armando das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pantanal FC. 83 minutes into the match, Pantanal FC's goalkeeper Giovani do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Pinheiro. A collision led to Pantanal FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Teixeira hit a great ball. Giovani do Vale made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Armando Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Luís Gustavo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Armando Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute of the match, Armando Pinheiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Giovani do Vale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. S&V FC's Vladimir Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. S&V FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
