The FlaUdi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Negri should have stopped the shot. FlaUdi's Anderson Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd play minute Clemente Tinoco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amadeu Negri. 2-1. FlaUdi's Kaká Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind FlaUdi's goalkeeper Amadeu Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FlaUdi getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gil Tróia hit a great ball. Amadeu Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FlaUdi's Amadeu Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Sarmento in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Mathias Souto fired a really elegant long shot, but Amadeu Negri threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Ribeiro in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 54th minute, Clemente Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Gaffo Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 87th minute Raúl Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
