Marcel Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Açougue Santa Maria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Félix to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Açougue Santa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Eger. Leopoldo Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luo Ang Cheng in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Açougue Santa Maria's goalkeeper Angelo Sotero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes everton brasil got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Cunha. Marcel Eger took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Santos. Leopoldo Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Luo Ang Cheng put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Santos. Angelo Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes of play, Açougue Santa Maria's Marcel Eger made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Marcel Eger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leopoldo Santos. That made the score 5-0 in the 40 minute of play. Leopoldo Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luo Ang Cheng in the 43rd minute. When Luo Ang Cheng came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Açougue Santa Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luo Ang Cheng couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Tinoco made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Açougue Santa Maria's Franklin Sá got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, everton brasil's Túlio Cordeiro tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute Elano de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Eger in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Açougue Santa Maria booed when everton brasil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diguinho Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Luo Ang Cheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Ang Cheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, everton brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Luo Ang Cheng came free, but Leopoldo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Açougue Santa Maria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After 87 played minutes Açougue Santa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Sá. Leopoldo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Ang Cheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Açougue Santa Maria's Marcel Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Açougue Santa Maria had played much better football throughout.
