After having played for 15 minutes, Nelsinho França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cururupe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Cururupe's goalkeeper César da Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Schmidt. 22 minutes into the match, João Pedro Severo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fabiano dos Santos. César da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Gaúcho in the 41st minute of the match. Gustavo Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. César da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaxindiba AD. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
