Dalmo de Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luizinho Aparecido in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Naldo Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmo de Mendonça was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Naldo Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Dalmo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Luizinho Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Dalmo de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunas SC. If Naldo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dunas SC's Luizinho Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luizinho Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jânio Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Vale in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Luizinho Aparecido notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Anicca FC's Dalmo de Mendonça. Dalmo de Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Dunas SC booed when Anicca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizinho Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo de Mendonça having to interfere. Dalmo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Vale in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Anicca FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erivaldo Sergipano was slow to take the kick. During this time Dunas SC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Chicão Paes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luizinho Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dalmo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizinho Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
