After 18 played minutes Imperatriz got a freekick which was hit by Richard Maranhense. Lúcio Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Basílio Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imperatriz's Lúcio Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Imperatriz from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Mauro Magalhães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lúcio Duarte. Imperatriz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Imperatriz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Almadina fully deserved thier win.
