Amadeu de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aracuai SS's Sílvio Luiz Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luiz Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Lara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sílvio Luiz Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracuai SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didi Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Duda Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Juniors's Didi Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Juniors from getting a goal against them. Duda Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Didi Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Dantas in the 36th minute of play forced Borussia Juniors's goalkeeper Didi Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Yan do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borussia Juniors's protests and gave Yan do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Borussia Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Juniors's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Duda Dantas 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Aracuai SS's Sílvio Luiz Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Botelho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duda Dantas to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duda Dantas in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi Lara saved Borussia Juniors from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Roger Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duda Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Lara having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luiz Gerber in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi Lara saved Borussia Juniors from getting behind. In the 68th minute Duda Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Aracuai SS's Sílvio Luiz Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didi Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Deivid Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Sabóia's late challenge caught a Borussia Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. Deivid Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Aílton Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Luiz Gerber might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sílvio Luiz Gerber ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Borussia Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aracuai SS:s goal. Aílton Cunha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.
