Mateus Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulysses Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Léo Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in GPORT F.C's zone, Ulysses Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Diniz came out of the goal and Ulysses Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Ulysses Quadros elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ulysses Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. ClubeX001's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulysses Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GPORT F.C's Germano Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme de Salles in the 27th minute of play. Severino Goiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Glauco Proença could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Quadros in the 34th minute of play forced GPORT F.C's goalkeeper Germano Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ClubeX001's Luisinho Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Luiz Guilherme de Salles made a precise shot to the right of Germano Diniz. GPORT F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to ClubeX001 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luisinho Lopes hit a great ball. João Pedro França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mateus Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the GPORT F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Rocha couldn't finish the play. After the first half ClubeX001 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateus Rocha made a kick off. Luiz Guilherme de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Diniz having to interfere. ClubeX001's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GPORT F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, ClubeX001's Luiz Guilherme de Salles got a free kick in the 63rd minute.
