Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Ipitangas's Ramón Passos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Perez in the 3rd minute of play forced Ipitangas's goalkeeper Betinho Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Haniel Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ipitangas's zone, Haniel Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Araújo came out of the goal and Haniel Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrinho Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RIBEIRO 27's Pedrinho Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Passos in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Ramón Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedrinho Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Haniel Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haniel Andrade succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 28th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Travassos in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ipitangas booed when RIBEIRO 27 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Fernandinho Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betinho Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haniel Andrade in the 45th minute. Betinho Araújo made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Haniel Andrade sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Dean Cartwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Betinho Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Durval Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean Cartwright might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Betinho Araújo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dean Cartwright ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Ipitangas defense, Haniel Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betinho Araújo. The Ipitangas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betinho Araújo should have stopped the shot. Dean Cartwright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Araújo having to interfere. In the 77th minute Ramón Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ipitangas's Natã Barbosa got a free kick in the 80th minute. Pedrinho Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Passos in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 91st minute Dean Cartwright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betinho Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haniel Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
