In a very dangerous position, a player in 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Breno Braga went to the wrong direction when Zé Paulo Soares was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maracuja's zone, Ezequiel Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murillo Antunes came out of the goal and Ezequiel Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's Breno Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC from getting a goal against them. Jeferson Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's Alfredo Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Reginaldo de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maracuja the free kick. Reginaldo de Almeida hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Zé Paulo Soares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breno Braga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Breno Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro de Castro in the 28th minute of play. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's Breno Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC from getting a goal against them. When Reginaldo de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo de Almeida couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Reginaldo de Almeida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's Breno Braga got control of the ball when Jeferson Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Álvaro de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Breno Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro de Castro in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maracuja's Samuca Correia got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Ferreira in the 81st minute of play forced 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goalkeeper Breno Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Breno Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Braga having to interfere. A collision led to Maracuja getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Samuca Correia hit a great ball. Ezequiel Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Murillo Antunes made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
