When Evandro Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Lopes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ca o Du's Sidnei Dias got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Adelino Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Lopes to strike the kick off in the second half. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Donato in the 51st minute of play. After 54 minutes of play, Ca o Du's Adelino Quadros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredo Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Breno Braga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jorginho Barbosa. Adelino Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Breno Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Lopes in the 65th minute of play forced Ca o Du's goalkeeper Augusto Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cícero Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Braga having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goalkeeper Breno Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Quadros. Breno Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Quadros in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Cícero Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adelino Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Gustavo da Fonseca's late challenge caught a 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
