The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuca Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Richard Reis made a huge save. Caraubas SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Aírton de Medeiros scored to the left of an out of position Richard Reis, making the score, 3-0. Caco Pena's late challenge caught a Caraubas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caco Pena helped the player get up and apologised. Davi Meireles hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes of play, Maracuja's Caco Pena made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute.
