Caraubas SS's Nicolas Botelho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Maracuja's Richard Reis threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Álvaro de Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 7 minutes of play, Maracuja's Samuca Correia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Samuca Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Reis. Caraubas SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Samuca Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Richard Reis made a huge save. Caraubas SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Aírton de Medeiros scored to the left of an out of position Richard Reis, making the score, 3-0. Caco Pena's late challenge caught a Caraubas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caco Pena helped the player get up and apologised. Davi Meireles hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes of play, Maracuja's Caco Pena made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Maracuja defense, Nicolas Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murillo Antunes. The Maracuja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murillo Antunes should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Caraubas SS's Nicolas Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murillo Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Richard Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton de Medeiros in the 43rd minute of play forced Caraubas SS's goalkeeper Richard Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caraubas SS's Richard Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Caraubas SS from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Álvaro de Castro made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Caraubas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton de Medeiros came free, but Richard Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Samuca Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Reis. Caraubas SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The supporters of Maracuja booed when Caraubas SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Caraubas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Ferreira came free, but Richard Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Samuca Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davi Meireles hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Álvaro de Castro suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Dinei Mesquita fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caraubas SS's protests and gave Dinei Mesquita a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Maracuja booed when Caraubas SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dinei Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Caraubas SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Mesquita couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Velloso in the 78th minute of play forced Caraubas SS's goalkeeper Richard Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Caraubas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton de Medeiros came free, but Richard Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maracuja's Murillo Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Maracuja from getting a goal against them. When Nuno Simão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Caraubas SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Simão couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Murillo Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
