Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) Arnaldo Garcia made the kick off and thus started the match. If Dalmo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaká Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Placa's zone, Kaká Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani Meira came out of the goal and Kaká Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé de Alcântara having to interfere. In the 24th minute Arnaldo Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maurício Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Dalmo Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dalmo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Placa's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Sousa in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé de Alcântara saved Itarema EC from getting behind. Dalmo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zé de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perivaldo Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dalmo Sousa made the kick off in the second half. Maurício Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé de Alcântara having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Maurício Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Placa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Itarema EC booed when Placa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Dalmo Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placa's Maurício Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Kaká Severo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani Meira. Placa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaká Severo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Maurício Veloso succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Maurício Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Zé de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th match minute, Placa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Sousa to maneuver through the defense. The Itarema EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Placa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
