With a left leg Augusto Almeida saved Ca o Du from getting behind. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yunus Akbora in the 18th minute of play. Augusto Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yunus Akbora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yunus Akbora in the 24th minute of the match. When Enéas Sá fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ca o Du's protests and gave Enéas Sá a yellow card for diving instead. Sidnei Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Augusto Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yunus Akbora in the 31st minute of the match. After taking down the ball on E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's corner Silas Massa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Augusto Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. Augusto Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bobbie Bobikov in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel de Barros during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ca o Du booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Yunus Akbora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bobbie Bobikov might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bobbie Bobikov ran back to his position shaking his head. Augusto Almeida came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Bobbie Bobikov. But to his dismay, Bobbie Bobikov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 61st minute Adelino Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Pahucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Bobbie Bobikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobbie Bobikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yunus Akbora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Augusto Almeida made a huge save. Breno da Cunha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Rui Mendonça hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ca o Du's zone, Bobbie Bobikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Almeida came out of the goal and Bobbie Bobikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bobbie Bobikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Almeida having to interfere. Bobbie Bobikov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Augusto Almeida skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ezequiel de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ca o Du from getting a goal against them. If Cícero de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
