The referee showed Dinei Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Caraubas SS's Nicolas Botelho got a free kick in the 21st minute. Nicolas Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Almeida having to interfere. If Nicolas Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Quadros to make the kick off. Tiago Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richard Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Caraubas SS's Richard Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Quadros in the 54th minute of play. Davi Meireles hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Quadros in the 61st minute of play forced Caraubas SS's goalkeeper Richard Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Cícero Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Caraubas SS's zone, Adelino Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Reis came out of the goal and Adelino Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Adelino Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ca o Du's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Gaspar in the 76th minute of play. Richard Reis came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Ca o Du's Adelino Quadros. But to his dismay, Adelino Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Adelino Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Richard Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Meireles struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Augusto Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraubas SS. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Nuno Simão took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Augusto Almeida to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ca o Du's goalkeeper Augusto Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raphael Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 93 minutes into the game, one of Caraubas SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Ca o Du players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
