Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Álvaro de Castro started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Maracuja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Altair FC's Benê Rosado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Murillo Antunes but with some difficulty. Nilson Quaresma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Ferreira in the 8th minute of the match. Benê Rosado hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Maracuja's Zé Paulo Soares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Altair FC. Paulo Renato Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Murillo Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Matos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Maracuja's Murillo Antunes. Murillo Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Bernardo Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 29 in the game by Marcus Vidal from a close distance when the talented Murillo Antunes managed to make a qualified save. Maracuja's players were relieved. Altair FC's Nilson Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro de Castro in the 32nd minute of play. Nilson Quaresma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton de Medeiros in the 37th minute of the match. Paulo Renato Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Renato Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aírton de Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 72nd minute, Maracuja's Álvaro de Castro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nilson Quaresma. Nilson Quaresma yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Jeferson Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aírton de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Nilson Quaresma made a huge save. Bernardo Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murillo Antunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Maracuja's Nilson Quaresma threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Álvaro de Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Bernardo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Jacinto hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Álvaro de Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilson Quaresma. That made the score 1-3 in the 94 minute of play. Altair FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Samuca Correia scored to the left of an out of position Nilson Quaresma, making the score, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Maracuja left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Altair FC.
