Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zézinho Motta got the match started through his kick off. If Zézinho Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Jacinto's late challenge caught a Maracuja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Jacinto helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 12 minutes, Álvaro de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracuja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Hybrius FC's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro de Castro came free, but Carlos Eduardo Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maracuja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hybrius FC the free kick. The supporters of Hybrius FC booed when Maracuja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeferson Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes, Valdemar de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maracuja and the Hybrius FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maracuja! The referee gave Hybrius FC a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Falcão de Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maracuja's Murillo Antunes. 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Hybrius FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeferson Ferreira. Sebastião Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Murillo Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro de Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hybrius FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Adhemar França hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Eduardo Loureiro having to make a save. Álvaro de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hybrius FC's Edvaldo Carvalho got a free kick in the 78th minute. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Jeferson Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Motta in the 87th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Ferreira in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Motta in the 93rd minute of play forced Maracuja's goalkeeper Murillo Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuca Correia hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
