With a little luck, Cambuci's Luiz Gustavo Zonta got control of the ball when Matías Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serafim de Sena hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Marcel Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cambuci's Luiz Gustavo Zonta got control of the ball when Nelson de Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 played minutes Capitão FC got a freekick which was hit by Válter de Queirós. After a defensive mix-up in Capitão FC's zone, Frank de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Paraense came out of the goal and Frank de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Cambuci's Serafim de Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilvan Paraense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marcel Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Nascimento in the 28th minute of play forced Cambuci's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Capitão FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Capitão FC's Matías Gomes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Gustavo Zonta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st match minute, Cambuci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Marinho to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcel Tasso during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serafim de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Jacinto Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capitão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 played minutes Cambuci got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Teles. Capitão FC's Gilvan Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank de Alcântara in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Gomes in the 62nd minute of play forced Cambuci's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romário de Mendonça during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Romário de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilvan Paraense made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Marcel Tasso sent off a good shot on target. Cambuci's Luiz Gustavo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Gomes in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Capitão FC's Gilvan Paraense got control of the ball when Marcel Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilvan Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cambuci's Serafim de Sena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilvan Paraense. That made the score 1-1 after 82 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Capitão FC's Dênis Martins got a free kick in the 85th minute. Gilvan Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank de Alcântara in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank de Alcântara in the 89th minute of play forced Capitão FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Frank de Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gilvan Paraense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilvan Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Tasso in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Armandinho de Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capitão FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambuci the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cambuci walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
