Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Poti's Rubens Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Matías Capixaba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKAI FC the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Matías Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Poti's goalkeeper Danilo de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Coelho. After 15 minutes, Maurício Arce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKAI FC and the Poti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurício Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Bebeto Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AKAI FC's protests and gave Bebeto Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, AKAI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Chico Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Moreno in the 22nd minute of the match. If Maurício Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 28th minute of the match Matías Capixaba completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Matías Capixaba a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Poti getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Matías Capixaba hit a great ball. When Adelino Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the AKAI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Vaz couldn't finish the play. If Caetano Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Danilo de Senna made a huge save. Caetano Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

AKAI FC's Bebeto Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Poti's Carlos Eduardo Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico Camargo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Adelino Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Poti's zone, Abel Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo de Senna came out of the goal and Abel Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo de Senna having to interfere. Abel Coelho took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo de Senna. Danilo de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 76th match minute, Poti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Correia to maneuver through the defense. When Abel Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AKAI FC's protests and gave Abel Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes AKAI FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Coelho. Abel Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Danilo de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poti succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though AKAI FC had controlled the match.
