Cássio Siqueira started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Belford FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Oséias Pena hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Claudinei Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Adhemar Corrêa. Belford FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Belford FC's Adhemar Corrêa got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís do Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fellipe Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Siqueira in the 14th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Belford FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Montenegro. Belford FC's Adhemar Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Siqueira in the 21st minute of play. Jardel Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serginho Matorin having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Belford FC's Jardel Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serginho Matorin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adhemar Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinei Antunes in the 26th minute. The supporters of Classis Spes booed when Belford FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adhemar Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Siqueira in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Jardel Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gláuber Maciel's late challenge caught a Classis Spes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belford FC's Gláuber Maciel got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Ediberto Bezerra managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Classis Spes's goalkeeper Serginho Matorin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belford FC's Gláuber Maciel got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Gláuber Maciel off the ground. Gláuber Maciel hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jardel Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Claudinei Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belford FC's Adhemar Corrêa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Cássio Siqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Classis Spes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Montenegro got free with Serginho Matorin in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Belford FC's Jardel Godoi in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Claudinei Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudinei Antunes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Claudinei Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Ramón Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Classis Spes the free kick. After 91 played minutes Belford FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Custódio. Jardel Godoi had several of the Classis Spes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Serginho Matorin as he didn't even see the shot coming. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
