The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fellipe Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Túlio Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Ramón Custódio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Víktor Zonta having to make a save. Belford FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Edu Aguiar scored to the left of an out of position Adhemar Corrêa, making the score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, Beronhoso Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Godoi came free, but Víktor Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Belford FC's Jardel Godoi in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adhemar Corrêa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luciano Fiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. The supporters of Belford FC booed when Beronhoso Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Fiz in the 34th minute of play forced Belford FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Belford FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Fiz. Adhemar Corrêa was a little too slow when Witomir Milan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 44th minute of the match Belford FC got a corner. Beronhoso Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastião Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 47 minutes, Alberto Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belford FC and the Beronhoso Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Belford FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Beronhoso Futebol Clube a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fred Baiano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Belford FC's Adhemar Corrêa. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Luciano Fiz made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Witomir Milan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Adhemar Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witomir Milan in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Fellipe Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Jardel Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beronhoso Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 64th minute Witomir Milan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Godoi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Oséias Pena hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Adhemar Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Witomir Milan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beronhoso Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Witomir Milan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhemar Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jardel Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Zonta having to interfere. José Augusto Aguiar's late challenge caught a Belford FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Augusto Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Belford FC booed when Beronhoso Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ramón Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Víktor Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beronhoso Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
