In the 6th minute, Leonardo Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Malvadão AC's Warren Metzger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Tasso. Marcos Tasso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Adriano Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warren Metzger in the 17th minute of play. Marcos Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Lima in the 18th minute. Marcos Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Ezequiel Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Warren Metzger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malvadão AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Metzger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 29th minute of the match Gilvan Batista completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gilvan Batista a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Malvadão AC booed when Supernova AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Supernova AD's zone, Eugênio Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Tasso came out of the goal and Eugênio Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Metzger, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Supernova AD's goalkeeper Marcos Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Warren Metzger came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Malvadão AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Metzger couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio de Carvalho made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Warren Metzger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Warren Metzger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Warren Metzger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warren Metzger scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Supernova AD's zone, Warren Metzger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Tasso came out of the goal and Warren Metzger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Supernova AD's Marcos Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Lima in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Malvadão AC's Warren Metzger fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Marcos Tasso came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Malvadão AC's Warren Metzger. But to his dismay, Warren Metzger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Marcos Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Supernova AD's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Metzger came free, but Marcos Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Malvadão AC's Leonardo Lima made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, Leonardo Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Tasso. Supernova AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malvadão AC fully deserved thier win.
