Arabela AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renatinho Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Malvadão AC's Warren Metzger in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arabela AD's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Leonardo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malvadão AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the game, Eugênio Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malvadão AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arabela AD the free kick. Eugênio Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Leonardo Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Célio Dionísio fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arabela AD's protests and gave Célio Dionísio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arabela AD getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Célio Dionísio hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Malvadão AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Leme to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Leonardo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malvadão AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Metzger in the 41st minute of play forced Arabela AD's goalkeeper Greg Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Célio Dionísio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. In the 43rd minute, Célio Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Warren Metzger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Leonardo Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Warren Metzger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arabela AD's Greg Lee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Arabela AD from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Warren Metzger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greg Lee was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 0-2 became the score in the 59th minute when Warren Metzger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Warren Metzger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Warren Metzger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Warren Metzger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Greg Lee. Arabela AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Warren Metzger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. When Eugênio Félix came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Malvadão AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugênio Félix couldn't finish the play. Leonardo Lima struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Greg Lee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malvadão AC. After a rather tough play, Arabela AD's Ulisses Meireles got a free kick in the 96th minute. Leonardo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Lee having to interfere. When the match was over Malvadão AC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arabela AD throughout the match.
