In the 7th minute of the match, Hudson Perez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emerson do Nascimento saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 15th match minute, RATOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Braga to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson da Rocha in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Estrellas's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Perez came free, but Emerson do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Estrellas booed when RATOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Estrellas's Gernando Marinho in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RATOS FC's goalie prevented a goal. Leonardo Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Paulo Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estrellas's Leonardo Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cássio Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hudson Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Leonardo Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Estrellas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Lopez couldn't finish the play. Cássio Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hudson Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson do Nascimento having to interfere. If Leonardo Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Gernando Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Gernando Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gernando Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes RATOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Nascimento. Jeferson da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Paulo Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Leonardo Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Estrellas played a much better game than RATOS FC and deserved their victory. The RATOS FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
