Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tiago Leite took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute of the match, Tiago Leite tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Perivaldo Sergipano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paulo Berger hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Red Nozes Football Club's Adriano Tavares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perivaldo Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dalmo Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Adriano Tavares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cipotanea's Perivaldo Sergipano. Perivaldo Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perivaldo Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Leite in the 23rd minute of play. Dalmo Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cipotanea's zone, Tiago Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Sergipano came out of the goal and Tiago Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adriano Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Red Nozes Football Club's Perivaldo Sergipano threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiago Leite, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Adriano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 55th minute Dalmo Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Adriano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Red Nozes Football Club's Tiago Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Cipotanea's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Tavares came free, but Perivaldo Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cipotanea's Paulo Berger got a free kick in the 68th minute. Perivaldo Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Leite's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Tiago Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Perivaldo Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipotanea's Perivaldo Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Tavares in the 81st minute of play. Tiago Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Sergipano having to interfere. Adriano Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perivaldo Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. Perivaldo Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Leite in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Tavares in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Adriano Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Red Nozes Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Tavares couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmo Lima's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
