After 2 played minutes Bulhufas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Vaz. 12 minutes into the match, Dorival Peres notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bulhufas F.C's Genílson Cunha. Genílson Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Álvaro Porto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Bulhufas F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dorival Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Cunha having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Duarte Quirino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Cunha. Bulhufas F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Quirino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Dorival Peres struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Genílson Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canelas FC. Genílson Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Peres in the 32nd minute of play. Duarte Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Guilherme Sanches hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Duarte Quirino notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bulhufas F.C's Genílson Cunha. Genílson Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, Bulhufas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Quirino came free, but Genílson Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Peres made a kick off. Bulhufas F.C's Genílson Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Quirino in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, Bulhufas F.C's Genílson Cunha got control of the ball when Dorival Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Duarte Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Duarte Quirino took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Genílson Cunha to make any attempt to save it. In the 75th minute, Álvaro Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Washington Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Canelas FC's Dida Borges was substituted for Teodoro Donatello. Dorival Peres scored 1-6 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genílson Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute of the match, Dorival Peres got a very nice opportunity to score, but Genílson Cunha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 95th minute, Alfredão Recife reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Genílson Cunha. The goal made the score 1-7. Canelas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
