DIAN's Hílton Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Tasso in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Coelho E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Marquez to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, DIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Marquez came free, but Hílton Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Trigo having to interfere. With a little luck, DIAN's Hílton Pimenta got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto de Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Hílton Pimenta made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto de Castro got free with Hílton Pimenta in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Mineiro's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Carlos Alberto de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Alberto de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Patrick Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, DIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Marquez came free, but Hílton Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Mineiro in the 30th minute of play forced Coelho E.C.'s goalkeeper Zé Carlos Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Carlos Alberto de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arí Loureiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hílton Pimenta could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, DIAN's goalkeeper Hílton Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Alberto de Castro. It was joyful for the audience to see Francisco Marquez dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 43rd played minute and put the ball into the net. 1-0. Carlos Alberto de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hílton Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alberto de Castro to make the kick off. Hílton Pimenta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wanderson Tasso went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, DIAN's Carlos Augusto Vidal got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Carlos Alberto de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Béla Werner got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Patrick Mineiro. The crowd rose to their feet as Rômulo Paraense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Carlos Trigo. That made the score 2-1 in the 68 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo de Castro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Carlos Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Durval Rezende made a precise shot to the right of Hílton Pimenta. DIAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 86 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto de Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton Pimenta. DIAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Alberto de Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. DIAN's Patrick Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, DIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Tasso came free, but Hílton Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hílton Pimenta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the DIAN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Coelho E.C..
