Spectators: 7213 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Patrick Mineiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Giovani Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hílton Pimenta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hílton Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DIAN's zone, José Vítor Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Pimenta came out of the goal and José Vítor Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the game, Iuri Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morro EC the free kick. After 16 played minutes DIAN got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Carvalho. Hílton Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Tasso in the 21st minute of play. Ronaldo de Castros short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Enrique Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Mineiro got free with Enrique Melo in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Béla Werner's late challenge caught a Morro EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Béla Werner helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute of the match Nilson Queiroz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton Pimenta skillfully saved the ball. In the 47th minute, Nilson Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Patrick Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ronaldo de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the DIAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo de Castro couldn't finish the play. When DIAN's Patrick Mineiro in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morro EC's goalie prevented a goal. Ronaldo de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Melo having to interfere. Hílton Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Tasso in the 74th minute of the match. Oscar Passos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, DIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo de Castro to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Hílton Pimenta made a huge save. If José Vítor Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes of play, Morro EC's José Vítor Loyola made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Pimenta was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of DIAN booed when Morro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, DIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Paraense to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Mineiro in the 96th minute of play forced Morro EC's goalkeeper Enrique Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although DIAN had been in control for most of the match, Morro EC still came away with the win.
