After 44 minutes of play, Baroneza's Laerte Paranaense made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natanael Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Toledo made a kick off. Silvério Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Silveira couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Baroneza fully deserved thier win.
