Zé Carlos Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Silveira in the 12th minute of play. Laerte Paranaense took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Carlos Trigo. Zé Carlos Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Silveira in the 17th minute of play forced Coelho E.C.'s goalkeeper Zé Carlos Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Laerte Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Zé Carlos Trigo. Coelho E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When Carlos Alberto de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coelho E.C.'s protests and gave Carlos Alberto de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. 25 minutes into the match, Silvério Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Carlos Trigo. Coelho E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Zé Carlos Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Baroneza's zone, Durval Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Vergílio came out of the goal and Durval Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Baroneza's Andrézinho Cearense got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Carlos Alberto de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Silvério Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Trigo having to interfere. If Luciano Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Baroneza were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Waldemar Toledo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Laerte Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Carlos Trigo. Coelho E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laerte Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 56th minute Silvério Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Trigo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvério Silveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 63 minute of play. Ronaldo Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Wanderson Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Ronaldo Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Carlos Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Silveira in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Paranaense got free with Zé Carlos Trigo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Laerte Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Zé Carlos Trigo. Coelho E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. Coelho E.C.'s Zé Carlos Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Coelho E.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Silvério Silveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Zé Carlos Trigo, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Paranaense got free with Zé Carlos Trigo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Coelho E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Baroneza were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
