Hílton Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Patrick Mineiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Genílson Torres could save by the left post. If Afonso Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genílson Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rômulo Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. Rômulo Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Rômulo Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rômulo Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube de Regatas Perebas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
