Palestra Itália EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olé Brasil FC the free kick. A collision led to Palestra Itália EC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nildo Diniz hit a great ball. Palestra Itália EC's Robinho Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Bueno in the 21st minute of play. When Jailson Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Olé Brasil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Barreto couldn't finish the play. If Nando Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robinho Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Cavalcante in the 30th minute of the match. The referee gave Wilton Sergipano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
