Spectators: 7064 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Cristóvão Rosado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. CA Santo André's Hílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Loureiro in the 4th minute of play. Cauã de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Rosado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington Chaves was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Coelho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hílton Chaves. Ronaldão Coelho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. CA Santo André's Geovânio Aguiar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Natã Baiano in the 31 minute of the game. Cristóvão Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. If Cristóvão Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Albertinho Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Santo André's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldão Coelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hílton Chaves could save by the left post. Albertinho de Lima was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 40th minute, Ronaldão Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovânio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Duda Corrêa hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pirambu EC's zone, Alfredo Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Chaves came out of the goal and Alfredo Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wellington Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Albertinho Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Wellington Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, CA Santo André's Charles Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Mota got free with Wellington Chaves in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the game, CA Santo André's Cauã de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Cristóvão Rosado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. CA Santo André's Hílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Loureiro in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Pedro Luiz Cosme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton Chaves skillfully saved the ball. Albertinho Chaves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. Pedro Luiz Cosme took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hílton Chaves. CA Santo André's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, CA Santo André's Cristóvão Rosado made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Rosado in the 94th minute of play forced Pirambu EC's goalkeeper Wellington Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over CA Santo André could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirambu EC throughout the match.
