C.'s Cesinha Marquez got a free kick in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Pirambu EC's goalkeeper Wellington Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Gonçalves. Dorival Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. If Alexsandro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wellington Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexsandro Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean Guimarães's late challenge caught a Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Jean Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorival Souza struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Wellington Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C.. Dorival Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Ivo Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirambu EC and the Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivo Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Dorival Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Ronaldão Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexsandro Gonçalves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 47th playminute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorival Souza was the one to do the kick off. Pirambu EC's Wellington Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Souza in the 56th minute of play. Alexsandro Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Chaves having to interfere. Duarte Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Gonçalves in the 73rd minute of play forced Pirambu EC's goalkeeper Wellington Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexsandro Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Dorival Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cesinha Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Marquez couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chuta Bunda de Vaca F. C. had played much better football throughout.
