Curipi SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Marcel Recife scored to the left of an out of position Dino Bastos, making the score, 1-2. Delfim Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Eliseu Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Conselho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curipi SS the free kick. A collision led to Conselho getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Dadá Lima was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hílton Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudinei Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrício Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Bastos in the 96th minute of play. The Conselho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Conselho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
