But to his dismay, Alberto Paulista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Bruno Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Yugoslavia Legacy's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Secco came free, but Bruno Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ezequiel Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Tales Secco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Quadros. Yugoslavia Legacy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tales Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tales Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Braga in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Jeremias da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dorian Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Sapiranga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorian Novaes couldn't finish the play.
