Loucos pela bola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Tancredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Juarês Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Itatuba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juarês Albuquerque got free with Valdemar Severo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Modesto Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Dudu Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Severo having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Itatuba SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Loucos pela bola.
