The audience thought a goal was coming when César Figueiredo got free with Leopoldo Sá in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute Fernando Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Mesquita in the 95th minute of play forced Tamburi's goalkeeper Jailson Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over JheNano FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tamburi throughout the match.
